Hi, I’m Marshall Malone — a multi-platform content producer with over 15 years of experience in retail and digital marketing, and more than 20 years in digital content creation. Throughout my career, I’ve held roles including Marketing Manager, Senior Creative Services Producer, Digital Marketing Specialist, and SEO Manager, each helping me develop a well-rounded approach to creative strategy and execution.

My background spans a wide range of marketing disciplines, including SEO, e-commerce, paid social, email marketing, and audience development. I’ve also built a long-standing career in video production, podcasting, photography, and web design. I’m experienced in Agile, Waterfall, and Scrum workflows, and enjoy adapting to a variety of team environments and project needs.

I’ve had the opportunity to work with both large corporations and small businesses, using tools like WordPress, Joomla, and ArcXP to deliver content that performs and resonates. In every role, I’ve focused on creating work that aligns with brand goals and audience needs.

In 2019, I stepped into a broadcast media role as a Senior Creative Services Producer. In 2024, I returned to digital marketing as Marketing Manager at Superior Fireworks, where I led SEO, social media, email, and video initiatives.

Outside of my full-time professional roles, I run Upside Down Creative Media, a comedy-focused production company I founded in 2013. Since then, I’ve produced original web series, podcasts, livestreams, and short-form video content, many of which have received recognition at both local and national levels. In 2025, I expanded the company by launching the UDCM Podcast Network.

If you’d like to learn more about my experience, please take a look at my resume or connect with me on LinkedIn. I’m always open to creative collaboration and new challenges.

*As of July 11th, 2025, I am seeking new opportunities due to being laid off.

I’ve directed, produced, edited, filmed, and created thousands of pieces of content for both online platforms and TV. While some of my work has reached millions, much of it remains behind the scenes. Feel free to explore my Creative Portfolio, but below you’ll find a selection of TV promos, podcasts, livestreams, short films, and social media content I’ve developed over the years.

2024 LOL JAX Film Festival

In 2024, my comedic short film, The Weight, won several awards at the 8th annual LOL Jax Film Festival, including Best Film, Best Director, and a tie for Best Sound and Best Ensemble Cast. You can read more about my experience here.

The Grey Beard Podcast

I had the opportunity to go on “The Grey Beard Podcast” and talk about my marketing background, my transition into the media world, the downfall of the traditional media industry, my never-ending “documentary” titled Falling Together, and how I started Upside Down Creative Media.

Who Are You Podcast

I had the opportunity to go on “Who Are You Podcast” and in this episode, we get into the nitty-gritty of my journey – from my time as Senior Creative Services Producer at News4Jax to growing up in a military family, moving around a lot. We touch on why I decided to start my own media company and dive into my passion for music.

But that’s not all – we talk about what it’s like being a father, and I share some wild stories from working on sets with celebrities like Steve-O and collaborating with directors like Kyle Newacheck.

What You're Craving

In August of 2022, I decided to take control of my health by cutting out sugar and refined carbs after reading an inspiring book by author and licensed therapist, Molly Carmel. To my surprise, Molly reached out to me as a guest on her podcast, and I couldn’t be more excited to have the opportunity to share my story with others. This experience has taught me that sometimes taking a small step towards positive change can lead to unexpected and wonderful opportunities. I encourage everyone to take a chance and make a change towards their own well-being.

Clay Today Online

As the producer of Hyundai Hometown Heroes for News4Jax/WJXT over two years, I had the honor of leading a station initiative in partnership with Hyundai, where we recognized local heroes across various categories and awarded them a free Hyundai Tucson. This was the station’s most successful campaign to date, and I was responsible for directing, producing, shooting, and writing the articles for it. One of the final stories I produced was featured in Clay County Today, where we recognized Master Chief Petty Officer Sha’Reff Rashad at Ridgeview High School for his 27 years of military service and his impactful work as an NJROTC instructor.

I wrote the original article, shot and edited the news story, and seeing it featured in print was an unexpected but fulfilling experience. Watch the 2023 Hyundai Hometown Heroes special and the 2022 Hyundai Hometown Heroes special, all produced, shot, and edited by myself.

The Buzz TV Interview

In 2017, Real Reality: Life Inside the Discomfort Zone, the film I directed, starring my comedy partner at the time, Rob Moccio, was selected for the LOL Jax Film Festival—an incredible honor and a pivotal moment in my career. What made it even more memorable was being interviewed by Monique Madrid for The Buzz, a local media company in Jacksonville, FL. It was my first-ever interview as a filmmaker, and to be honest, I was nervous!

That interview pushed me out of my comfort zone, much like the themes of the film itself, and taught me to embrace the awkwardness. The experience reinforced my belief in the power of storytelling that finds humor in life’s uncomfortable moments. Despite the nerves, it remains a highlight of my filmmaking journey.

As a small creator, I’ve been fortunate to receive some recognition from actors and directors in Hollywood for my livestreams and videos. While I’m not one to seek the spotlight, it’s nice to have my work acknowledged by such talented individuals. It reminds me that even small voices can make an impact, and it encourages me to keep creating and sharing my passion with others.

In 2022, on an episode of This Is Important, Blake Anderson and Kyle Newacheck referred to me as the “guy from Florida” and mentioned the work I had done with my production company, Upside Down Creative Media.

This Is Important won “Best Comedy Podcast of the Year” in the 2024 iHeart Podcast Awards.

In 2018, on an episode of The Wonk Podcast, Kyle Newacheck and Thomas Kellogg had us on as special guests to talk about the work we’ve done with Upside Down Creative Media.
