No human except JESUS had authority on earth to command angels to do anything. Angels are ministering servants who only listen to God. I sincerely hope you were joking when you said "He's a great preacher. Show some respect." In 2nd Corinthians 4:2 tells us about condemning the hidden things of dishonesty. If he had such power, the virus would be gone and he wouldn't be calling for a vaccine, he'd be calling for divine healing which requires NO VACCINE.

Hi. I am an ex-Pentecostal who is still a Christian but no longer attends church as the Great Apostasy is in full swing.
It is common in charismatic and even non-charismaric gatherings for congregations to be led in 'decree and declare' prayers/confessions by which they are supposedly establishing things in the spirit realm. There is also way too much of being told "turn to your neighbour and say…". This is a control mechanism to hinder rational, critical thinking.
As this was done by the heretic Kenneth Copeland when churches could not gsther, I think he is using these "church elders" (one is his son-in-law) in lieu of a full congregation to "agree" with him and thus enforce this hugely ineffectual cursing of Covid. These people are under what scripture calls a "strong delusion" and are misleading multitudes. Pentecostalism was correctly regarded as a cult when it began in the early 1900's. It is a modern day reboot of the Montanist heresy of the 2nd-5th centuries and is now very mainstream and in the White House. Genuine Christians trapped in it need to come out of it.
